Dana White Announces Frank Mir vs. Cain Velasquez “Will Happen” at UFC 146
Just days after declaring his desire to replace Alistair Overeem against Junior dos Santos, UFC President Dana White has announced that Frank Mir's currently scheduled fight against Cain Velasquez will still be taking place. That fight, which is scheduled for UFC 146, is the co-main event at the May 26th event, and will be a number one contender's bout to determine who faces the champion later this year.
